A MINUTE'S silence was held before Darlington's FA Trophy game with Marine on Sunday.
The players gathered in the centtre circle at Heritage Park, Bishop Auckland to remember three men who died recently.
North-East sports journalist, Bob Cass, who was born in Darlington and began work at The Northern Echo, former club manager Paul Futcher and longtime supporter Jack Avery were all remembered by the Quakers.
The match ended 2-2.
