Stars and their parmos: A reminder of who else has tried Teesside's signature dish

TV hardman Ross Kemp has been in Stockton filming part of a new Sky series.

The actor has been filming in the town today as part of a new three-part Sky 1 series titled “Ross Kemp’s Britain”.

He was seen filming in Hartington Road, in central Stockton, and also did some work with the Moses Project, in Lightfoot Grove, off Bowesfield Lane, which provides guidance, mentoring and support to adult males with past and current addictions to drugs and alcohol.

And the former Eastenders star even had chance to try a parmo.

He popped into Labyrinth Holistic, in Skinner Street, in central Stockton, a not-for-profit organisation in Stockton for the tasty Teesside treat.

Deb Knibbs, 47, co-founder of Labyrinth Holistic said: “He and members of the filming crew came in for some lunch. They are all so lovely.

“Ross had a parmo - his first ever and he said he really liked it.

“They didn’t say too much about what they were filming but said it was part of a three-part series. They were all so nice, Ross was a genuinely nice bloke. I got a quick selfie picture with him before he left.”

A spokesman for Sky said the new series is set to air in 2016.

He said the crew has been filming in various places across the country and as it’s still in production, it is not yet known whether the footage captured in Stockton will make the final programme.
